My practice, Millennium Eye Care, recently became affiliated with Prism. Millennium informed me that they have lost access to the records of 80,000 patients as a result. Prism said they can't access any records electronically because of "technical issues." Millennium said paper back up records are stored in some off-site facility, mixed up, disorganized and in unmarked boxes. If you're a new patient, ask what safeguards are in place for your personal information. If you're an existing patient, try to find out if your information has been disclosed. Maybe you'll have more luck than I did.

My doctor in York, PA is fine (not great, but fine) BUT the billing is abysmal! No live person, no callbacks, absolutely no customer service. They haven't applied my payments in over 3 months yet they keep sending me bills like I'm the delinquent party. Appalling! When I complained at my doctor's office, I was told that Prism is actually the corporate office and they are the problem; billing is not an outside service. To make matters worse, they JUST sent me a bill from services last October. It's now the following July. OMG - get it together, people. Again - appalling. Also, like other reviewers have said, the "portal" is a work of fiction.

You wait an hour or more to be seen. This happens regularly, with serious overbooking and under-staffing. One wonders if there is something racial going on as this office serves mostly non-white patients. Since these patients are also very elderly and usually infirm, this kind of patient care is disturbing and unacceptable

Drs are great but it stops there.  Billing Department which is almost unreachable by phone and NEVER returns a call submitted information incorrectly to my insurance company.  After 1 week of calling and holding got a real person who said Oh we always submit it incorrectly to your insurance company.  We will fix.  Received 2nd notice inicating I was late in paying my bills and after 3 days got a real person who told me that she was the one who spoke to me before and they have done nothing.  She would excalte and I would receive a call in a week confirmning it was corrected.  Three weeks later no call.  After 5 days of calling and holding got someone who said nothing has happened.  It could take 1 - 2 days.  Well it has been two months.  She promised she would again excalte it and I would receive a call today or Monday.  Not holding my breath.  Unfortunately the great dr has lost me as a patient.

Wish that I could leave zero stars. My child has been going to SJE for 8 years and has had the same two insurances the entire time. Somehow his last visit his secondary insurance wasn’t applied by billing and I received an outrageous bill in the mail. I’ve called these people at least ten times and can’t reach anyone. I’ve left messages. All I’ve received is a message back to log in online. Nope. They will not see one red cent from me - awful awful awful.

Terrible. Keep away!!!! They double dip on payments. They take your money and then the insurance companies. But give the run around when you try to get it back. Be careful which drs you go through make sure they are not affiliated like Millenium eye care !!!

Prism Vision Group please correct your billing practice. I received services from my ophthalmologist in Silver Spring, MD. Yet my credit card statement references an ophthalmologist in Owing Mills, MD. This is confusing.
