Awesome place to see birds and other wildlife. Levees were perfect for bike ride even on. Road bike if you avoid wet or sandy spots. Unfortunately many users leave trash and don’t follow rules.

Absolutely gorgeous place to kayak and or bird. 55 species of birds including a rare Large-billed Tern, Vermillion Flycatcher, and a Tropical Kingbird.

This is a hiking/trail running review. Google maps does not match boots on the ground likely due to rising/falling water levels.

The higher elevation dike road of white shell/gravel accessible from the southeast side of the parking lot has a sign that states not for public use.

Went to the public use trail accessible from the northwest side of the parking lot which does not show up on Google Maps. This trail is much lower than a dike road and is about 2 feet above water level and 12 feet wide. The trail is beautiful with water on both sides.

The only problem is alligators are abundant. I startled a monstrous 10 - 12 footer about 12 - 15 feet away from me hidden in the reeds on the side of the trail. I nearly pooped myself. Also came upon two smaller gators too close for comfort

I've run wilderness trails across the USA and Florida and seen a few bears, lots of rattlesnakes, and many gators. I consider this trail the most dangerous I've seen. Be warned!

An island with tons of wading birds is right at the entrance/ parking area at this time of year. Lots of birds - various herons, roseate spoonbills, egrets, and ibises. Great place for biking & birdwatching.

Beautiful place to explore.
You can boat, fish, camp, walk, bike and take lots of pictures. We visited mid-morning and it was quite hot. There weren’t very many trees so be prepared for that.
The bathrooms were gross, but useable.

Lots of wildlife, birds, ducks, alligators and fish. Great place to enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

A beautiful place to enjoy nature, with the singing of the birds it makes you feel relaxed, the only thing I don't like in these places is that there are people who dump their garbage wherever they want without knowing how bad it is for the environment.

Good place for birding or enjoying wide open spaces along St. John's River with fishing, boat ramps, lots of parking and even rest room facilities.
