The Optometrist is fine but you will be billed for services not requested. These are for services not covered by Medicare. It is duplicate or overbilling. They are billing you and Medicare for the same exam . Watch what you sign. I would go elsewhere. In their response, they make no mention of the $ 74. charged and paid at the time of visit. The additional $121. recently charged has been mailed to them. Each visit is billed to Medicare to "Establish new patient" even after you've been a returning patient for 3 yrs. or more ? No wonder Medicare is going broke!

I was very pleased with the eye exam. However when I called I specifically asked for an eye exam to get glasses. I then asked if they accepted my insurance. The person on the phone said yes. When I was done getting the glasses fitted I was told they didn’t take any insurance for the glasses themselves. The price quoted for just the lenses was reasonable, but more expensive than Walmart. If they had accepted the insurance I would’ve bought the glasses there.
They were much more friendly and customer oriented than any of the big outlets.

UPDATE: This is year 4 for our annual exam and cannot say enough positive things. In fact, dropped my vision insurance when they said they would not cover him as there were “other providers in the area.” Highly recommend. UPDATE: Third visit to this practice and love it. Recently my mom and sister in law started here as well and like the practice. Very thorough and personable. PRIOR: This is my second visit to this practice and would highly recommend it. Dr. Chiaramonti is very personable, very thorough in his examination, answers all of your questions and feel like he is concerned about your well-being. He has an excellent front office and although he is a Duke University basketball supporter, I have recommended him to other family members - my mom goes this week.

First visit everybody working there. We’re very pleasant and accommodating. Exam went well, and that everything was explained to me. My only problem was mine that I did not check to see if you accepted Florida blue. Went ahead and had my glasses made and When I get them back, I can finish my critique. Thank you.

A huge thank you Dr Collins and his staff for another wonderful visit. I was greeted immediately and barely waited 5 minutes before seeing Dr Collins. It’s always a pleasure being treated with such professionalism and kindness. Dr Collins always takes time to listen to my concerns to give me the best treatment.

These guys are awesome, I walked in with no appointment with an emergency. I saw Felicia and Princesse. They took care of my issue did awesome job and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend them.
