Me atendio y fue directa, eficiente, profesional pero: empática, humana y eso no lo encuentras asi nada mas. Dr Coughlun muy acertado y extremadamente explicativo. Un gracias muy especial a la Srta Valeria muy amable y cuidadosa lidiando con seguros de sakyd no te como un file enumerado, te defiende y casi casi te representa frente a los Seguros. Ella es muy profesional. Es bilingue. Gracias. El lugar queda cerca al YMCA, al Publix.

I've been seeing Dr. Coughlin basically my entire life. You can easily tell he's incredibly competent at what he does, and he's also a very light-hearted friendly guy. I've also always had great interactions with the staff and never feel like I'm being up-sold on any contacts or glasses coatings that aren't genuinely worth it. I would absolutely recommend Bay Hill.

My first experience at Bay Hill Eye Care was subpar due to the fact that the associate got my pricing for my frames wrong. I was looking at two different frames for my first pair of glasses. I went with the pair that made sense price wise as I did not want to spend $300 on glasses that I only wear for driving and TV. Later I was told that I was owed a refund for around $100. I was not offered a chance to take the other pair, which I expressed more interest in and was told there were no exchanges/returns. This year, I waited three months for an appointment so that I could keep a relationship with the optometrist, and the DAY before was told my insurance was no longer accepted. I have previously worked at an eye doctor, and both of these experiences were honestly just disappointing. Lack of attention to detail and care for customers.

Short version - stay away from this practice. Mid-year 2024 they were bought out by an equity firm and 'gouging' is a polite word.

This used to be a wonderful establishment, and still has wonderful people working for it. In April of 2024 however, the practice is now managed by an equity firm (who has bought multiple other practices this year) and it has SUFFERED.

All scheduling is done through a central office staffed by rude, short tempered staff that confuse the locations they manage, which is frustrating when you call THIS location but get someone at a central location that then starts looking at the wrong locations to find an open appointment.

Pricing has become excessive. Not only did I pay higher rates than this time last year, but I also had to go through a whole bunch of time wasting calls because they billed the wrong things to the wrong plan (some things get billed to my medical, some to my eyeplan) which after going there for over a decade the process was well established - but its a new organization doing things.

called their central location when they screwed up the billing, and at the end of that call I was assured that everything was paid and there was no balance owed (rather than do it right, they just sent both bills to both plans and let the two plans pay what they wanted).

And now, today, I get a bill for a remainder owed. Either this is a 'crossed in the mail' (more incompetence) or the investment firm that bought this practice isn't happy unless they can gouge to the bone on top of the pricing hikes across the board.

I will call when they open on Monday and verify which it is. But this is depressing. The staff here has always been nice and the doctors attentive and caring. All I can do is just recommend that everyone keeps away from this practice and if you can find out who the new owners are - avoid any other practice they've sucked in.

I've never placed a review before. I am very private. But this has to be said.

Dr Bui and Bay Hill Eye Care show a ton of care and concern for me. Dr Bui explained my test results in detail as well as what the tests showed. She also helped me with some recommendations on how to take better care of my eyes. I highly recommend both Dr Bui and Bay Hill Eye Care!!
