Great customer empathy and service. I want to say thank you to Stan, the bike mechanic here. He really helped me out with a chain skipping issue and even helped diagnose a bigger issue that compromised the safety of the frame that I didn't realize was there.

Will definitely come back to Upshift for future bike repairs/servicing!

Bought a mountain bike from them today! As someone that’s trying to get into mountain biking they gave me a lot of good tips to start out. Overall, i love the general vibe of the store, and will soon be sending in my beater road bike to them for repairs ☺️

I'm calling Doug the magic man because I never knew how great of a bike my 10+ year old carbon Fuji SL-Comp really was until he did a tune up on it. Ive had many tune ups by other shops in that time span and the bike has never felt this good, even when it was new. Really glad I found Upshift Cycles, the entire staff is great.

the owner was absolutely awesome she could totally relate with me in regards to being shop owners in san jose. while we both work in similar fields we both work on different vehicles with a little bit of overlap. she was quick to help me and get me the tube i needed and was more than hospitable. its owners like her that make small businesses amazing. thanks again yall are awesome im checking out the battery program you told me about and im extremely grateful to have met you. its refreshing to find someone who understands of the daily woes and throes of owning a bike shop whereas i own a scooter shop so the common ground is all too common.... i know not a great ending to that statement i tried. keep up the awesome work and feel free to reach out to me if you ever need anything as i will do the same for you. im sure that we will run into each other again at some point! until then....

Great bike shop and friendly staff. Other bike shops always give me attitude when I ask them to order bikes from the manufacturer, but they were happy not only to oblige, but also to show me exactly what inventory the manufacturer has. From the first phone call to picking up the bike it was speedy and smooth, just like my new bike.

Update: I’m slightly disappointed at the service department. They couldn’t diagnose 2 bottom bracket issues and I ended up fixing it myself. They are also a bit backed up so it’s hard to get an appointment.

I like this san jose shop. To top it off they have an amazing vibe and they make you feel well at home. They take good time and care with your bike. They have great customers service unlike anything else they are amazing ? I would continue to go here I wish they were open on Mondays...above all the best in the bay area!!!!
