I came to the emergency room and waited 3 hours and left continued to have the same issues and I ended up coming back on the same night and waited another 4 hours and still have not been seen. This is ridiculous. If it wasn’t an emergency I would have waited and called my Doctors office. The waiting room is almost empty.

Staff is good, friendly and helpful. Hospital labor and delivery floor is in bad shape, outdated. Prisma hasn’t put one dime into making the labor and delivery facility clean nor comfortable. These rooms are small and nasty. Cracked tiles, dusty vent covers, cracked sagging floors and a thermostat so old I don’t even want to try it. The floor in the bathroom looks so nasty I won’t even go in there, the grout is supposed to be white but lol most of it is black. The maintenance and housekeeping need to be reevaluated , retrained or replaced. The complimentary snacks are under lock and key so instead of going to get a pack of crackers, you have to call and bother a nurse for it. The food menu is awful and ridiculously limited. My daughter ordered dinner and was sent a burger with a piece of pie and 2 quarter cups of juice, that’s not dinner. The support person is offered meal for $6.00 which is fine but you can only order the daily special and nothing else, no thank you to the pot pie. Lexington, Parkridge, Baptist, Province etc etc etc why are we here? I advise you to check out the area you will stay, the foods you will be fed and the policies before choosing. If you pick this place over any of our other local area hospitals, you are missing out.

Think twice before trusting your health to the Dr.s and surgeons at this hospital. I had a horrific experience with them. 1st the surgeon Dr Mirra was rude and arrogant. His staff unorganized and chaotic. Ordered a fine needle aspiration to test a tumor in my neck. Pre surgery appointment. The. Months later after tying to schedule surgery he decided to not remove it “until it becomes a godlier and is choking me!” Exact words. Now while I wait to get into my new Dr at MUSC. I’m sick, in terrible pain, and tumor growing larger. Thanks for wasting my time and money! Please pay a cleaning service to clean your facility and pay a personal service to train your employees how to care for people!

I had a triple bypass and Dr Martin and his team were absolutely wonderful. They took great care of me and let me and my wife know what to expect. In ICU the nurses Joel, Christie and Ben made sure I had everthing I needed and taylored my care to me specifically. The only complaint was the first 2 nurses taking care of me when I first arrived in ICU seemed uncaring to my specific needs of not being able to breathe when flat on my back but thankfully all the others after that were great and more then made up for the bad start.

The night staff that worked in the children part was great when I brought my son in on the 8/25. Not only that the nurses and doctor that seen me on 8/30 was great as well only downfall I had with night shift was I requested for an ultrasound just to make sure my baby was okay and was told no being that it wasn’t my chief complaint. Dr. K Ferguson gave me a piece of mind when she came in that morning and did an ultrasound with no problem. Thank you.

After receiving no help after visiting another hospital twice. They took me straight back. I had 6 people working on me. They were very nice. I was eventually transferred to Baptist,. I am very grateful for their help at a time I felt like no one would. I will continue to bypass my local hospital and come here.
